Having praised
Starbucks recently, I now have to offer a minor brickbat:
On their napkins here
in Blighty they have this massage printed:
Less napkins. More
plants. More planet.
Apart from the
obvious bollocks that this message contains, given that the napkins are made in
Netherlands and shipped here and then trucked all around the UK, it's fewer
napkins dimwits! You are not saving the planet by recycling old newspaper
(which uses a vast amount of power, I know this to be a fact) and then shipping
it all over the world. In fact, don't print anything on the napkins at all,
that would be better!
Fewer means not so
many, less means not so much!
I know that Merkins would not necessarily know this,
but hells bloody teeth it makes me mad!
