May I have a black coffee please?

I refuse to call a black coffee an Americano.


So in Pret I just ordered a black coffee. 


"Americano?" said the server.  


"If that's what you call it, but it's really a black coffee." I replied 

So she shouted out my order to the coffee making lad with an over exaggerated "Americano"

He made it and then shouted out, "Americano". 

I ignored him. 

She said "It's for him", pointing at me. 

He shouted "Americano" and tried to make me take it.


I refused and added "No thanks, black coffee for me".

"Well it's the same thing" he shouted in an exasperated way.

"I know" I said, "I just told her that".

"Is is yours?" he asked.

"If it's a black coffee, yes" I replied.

"It is", he mumbled!
